Even Greater Horrors

The staff of the CO-OP are all in full on halloween mode, at first, I wasn't sure what they were dressed as - a little too livid for zombies - they I twigged, they are all dressed as victims of domestic violence - except 'big' Mark, who looks like he's been in a Friday Night fight outside Yates's. I've been in there twice today - Mark has had his make-up re-applied very carefully at least once since the start of his 12 hour shift.... he must be quite pleased with himself. The supervisor has blacked-up.... I said nothing.

I cleaned the whole house today - inspired, or rather humiliated into action by my sisters visit. I think the house looks OK now. I even cleaned the front of the house ( it's north facing and I get green mold on the top of the bay window ) and put different evergreens outside. At one point I found a stash of long forgotten condoms ( well.... 3.. ) - the sell by date was 2006... say's it all.

I've battened down the hatches - I hate halloween ( it's actually tomorrow - FFS ) and am expecting children looking for sweets, drinks, drugs etc - so all the downstairs lights are out and I'm upstairs with a bottle of wine and some nice cheese. Walking the dogs earlier I saw that one house had blocked their path with wheelie bins and had a sign saying "due to a sudden bereavement, please refrain from knocking on the door tonight" one neighbour, who is actually quite nice - has put up a welcome sign...

A friend who lives in Brighton where the streets are apparently already  thronging with tipsy, over made up undead, suggested that tonight would be a perfect opportunity to go on a random killing spree... it would be lunchtime tomorrow before anyone noticed that there was anything wrong.... I like his style.
