I remember my dad's friend coming over and talking about work - he was a "man from the Pru" and I generally found him very dull, but he started talking about this "young lad who's started to make a bit of money as a pop singer" and had come to my dad's friend for some financial advice.
It was Elvis Costello. As soon as he said the name, my ears pricked up, although I was a bit disappointed to hear that Elvis was interested in savings policies. Not very rock and roll.
