Wishing my life away

I don't know about you - but I've had this problem before - getting my age or something mixed up and losing chunks of time. When I was about 22 I got it into my head I was about 28 and took some persuading that I was several years younger ( maths was never a strong point ) and I've got it into my head that I've lived in this house for 4 years, actually - on Friday I will have lived here for just 3 years.

I was delighted to do the sums and realise I could have a year of my life back, really cheered me up.

According to the online property calculator I have lost £7.5K on the value of my house, only about 4.5% - not too bad, and I'm about 20k less in debt than I was when I moved here. I'm also earning a monthly salary in addition to my freelance work - although I also realised that the salary part of my income is exactly the same as the money I was offered at my first job, 22 years ago.

I've also been concentrating on putting a bit of weight back on - and I'm doing OK, and the increase in exercise, no alcohol and multi-vits and Cod liver oil have left me feeling pretty good. It's a bit cooler now too, I bloody hate the heat, so I feel loads better.

I fact, in a brash moment earlier today I considered having a wet shave, I've not had once since my sisters wedding... and her little boy goes to 'big school' this year.

And!!! BBC 4 has 'The Story of British Sculpture' coming up this autumn - with the brilliant Alistair Sooke - fantastic!!!!

You opened a bracket and didn't close. This sends my OCD into the stratosphere. You've no idea.

Oh - it was much worse than that - I committed the typographical error of leaving it hanging at the end of a line (a 'widow'), unforgivable in my industry. I am suitably chastened.

Can't believe I missed an open bracket...

By the way, I notice there is no word verification now you are back on here - they are fun!
