"Let slip the dogs of war"

Well, actually - the slugs of war. The damp weather has sent them into a feeding frenzy and they keep invading the house. I have no idea where they come from - or how they get in, but when I cam home last night they were all over the kitchen and in the dog bowls. I bloody hate the fuckers but refuse to use anything chemical in the house - I really need to figure out how they get in.

I used to have the same problem. Worst of all was getting up in the night and feeling something cold and wet on my leg - slime slime is very hard to get off the skin!

In the end, a combination of salt sprinkled through the cracks in the floorboards and skirting boards, plus loads of polyfilla, seemed to more or less knock the problem on the head.

In the garden, nematodes were very effective.
