Took the dogs out for a walked into town and back - went through Clive vale. On Albert road - not a soul about, heard a loud, high pitched 'whoop'. A very bright green bird with a scarlet flash on the back flew straight past us and up to the nearest roof. Larger than a budgie, smaller than a parrot - no crest - but obviously some exotic species. quite slim and elongated like a swift - but with a longer neck and shaped like a small peacock - but slimmer.
Saw no tigers... but it's still early August.
