I knew this would happen. After the excitement of last years re-fit when everything started to look better - the CO-OP has gone back to the bad old ways of only selling what... sells. Hence a store that only really stocks the following.
White Bread
Sweets
cakes
Biscuits
Ready meals
Pizza ( fresh and frozen )
Potatoes
Beer
More beer
cigarettes
Spirits
Wine
More beer
Tea
No real fresh vegetables, and not during the middle of the day ( do you remember my excitement when they had a butternut squash ) - just sausages, bacon, burgers, barbeque meat, cheap chickens ( pumped full of water by the look of them ) and cooked ham.
I'm now really looking forward to the new Sainsbury's opening under the college so I can get stuff on the way home - possibly green stuff, that would be nice.

Yes, I too, am really looking forward to the Sainsbury's for exactly the same reason. It's also my supermarket of choice (in the absence of Waitrose) and I like to gather the Nectar points and buy paint with them at Homebase. I was in your Co-Op about an hour ago and thought exactly the same thing.
