Working at home - have already managed to get a piee of artwork out to print - loads left to do today and tomorrow.
Yesterday was good, managed to get loads of work done and happy with how it all turned out.
Jonathon Miller is on the radio talking about Gore Vidal - which is strange, because he's happy to admit he only met him a couple of times... in the 1960's - and had very little to do with him. They must have a list of people to call when Vidal died marked 'boring old queens'. lazy journalism.
Very warm and muggy - everything feels damo and wet.
The papers have changed their tune - last week we were facing Olympageddon - "crowded streets, chaos on the transport systems - for god's sake, stay at home"... so we did, now it's 'retail collapse - streets deserted, Olympic disaster - we may never recover" Bullshit, Bullshit, Bullshit.
Very happy that Tom Daley didn't win anything, can't stand the little shit - but frankly - the police have better things to do than arrest people who send offensive tweets. He's spent the last year ( as have the press ) talking about how he's 'doing it for dad' - what was he expecting ?? Jan Moir in the daily mail has written an article about him, pointing out that 'it's not all about Tom, what about his partner" ( history repeats ) - I wish I could read it, but as I promised myself years ago I never would read anything by that woman again, I can't.
Last night was the annual Carnival Bike race in hastings - another weird custom. Large crowds gather to watch unfit men and women attempt to cycle an old bike up a very steep hill, and then attempt to drink themselves to death. Something similar occurs on Thursday with prams.
The Olympics seem to have forced Radio 4 to descend to untold depts of banal stupidity and 'state the obvious' garbage. 'Michael Phelps likes being in the water'
Need to focus today. Honest..
