Working in Brighton today - so just getting ready. Managed to get through a mammoth amount of work yesterday - thanks to Radio 3. It was pretty good background noise - some light entertainment, during the credits a presenter introduced the Hammond Organ player "he only played 2 notes, but he played them several times". The played the Barber Adiago - I've never heard it all the way through before - it's not bad.
Massive amount of rain in the night - so I've continued to ignore the tomatoes, really don't like the look of them.
Very depressing article here about the reality of educational loan debt in America - one of the usual justifications trundled out for student loans is 'it works in America" - bullshit - obviously. It's a disaster waiting to happen, in 10 years - the government will have loaned out tens of millions to students who will never pay them back. The bubble must burst in the end.
Much flag waving at Offa Towers over the cycling. It's just a terrible shame that later that day, one of the olympic busses ran down and killed a cyclist in London - I take my life in my hands every day - Brighton is particularly bad - the populus ( including bus and taxi drivers ) take pride in ignoring the rules of the road - and pedestrians regularly step in front of you - generally with an indignant "how dare you be in the road' expresion.
I scraped the top off a mosquito bite on my wrist at the weekend and keep catching it - might never heal - it's not so far fetched that I may lose my hand.... eventually. That's the way my mind works.
