Up at 5am watching live streaming of the mars landing. Due to touchdown at approx 6.30.
Very busy week - working in two places at the same time - 50 miles appart, and then at a Funeral in London on Friday - separate post about that. This week is going to be a bit of a blur.

I'm amazed (but delighted) that BBC News didn't relegate this new item to the bottom corner, somewhere below Bradley Wiggins' sideburns. Perhaps there is hope after all.
I've always been fascinated by Mars and hope I live long enough to see people land there.
12 years ago I sent my name off to NASA and they bunged it on a CD-ROM that was installed in one of the lander missions. The idea that my name is on the surface of Mars still gives me a childlike thrill.
I watched it on a live link to NASA - it was great! I'm glad the BBC flagged it up too - ut was a worthy start to the day.
