Another crushingly hot day - I know it's a little churlish of me to com plain about the tiny amount of good weather we are getting this year - but I really do hate the heat. I lost my sunglasses last week - I may try to procure a new pair later today.

I did try wearing a pair of lightweight chinos yesterday. I bought them some time ago - they are Ralph lauren ( reduced from £95 to £22 ) - they made me look like a middle aged Mormon. Amazing how some clothes really don't work for you - I've regularly noticed that I see men wearing clothes that I own, and they look great - and I don't. Yesterday I saw a bloke of roughly my age who looked oddly familiar - then I realised it was just that we had the same shirt. It looked awful on him, and was pathetically young for someone his age - I was mortified.

3 straight days working in the office in hastings - I'm just getting focussed now - plenty to get on with. I'm due to put in an appearance at a birthday party later tonight - not keen on drinking during the week - I may take the bike.

It's that time again when my thoughts turn towards the inland revenue - this weekend I start the marathon task of 'doing' the books. Possibly.
