Another hot day. Worked really hard yesterday. happy with what I did - more to do today. My certificate came from D&AD, I'll have to get it framed.

I bought a pair of sunglasses from Debehams - very reduced, I always forget to buy them when they are cheap at the end of the season, and go without instead. Te girl who unlocked the cabinet hovered around behind me - really put me off, so I've probably bought the wrong pair. The leather case was nicer than I expected - and probably from a more expensive model. In fact, it looks like it cost more than the glasses. The woman who served me at the till was in her late 50s, very 'retail' and faux posh in the nicest possible way - she had the kind of voice that you get after 30 years of serving the public and listening to radio 4 - full of musical cadence - probably make a fortune on a sex line. When she saw the case she said 'ooohh, that's very nice, isn't it" - she reminded me of Shirley Stellfox in 'Personal Services' - "ohh, look at her, she's nice... I think I might be a lesbian...."

It's going to be 30+ again today, I may have to stay indoors.
