I spent today at home in the company of my dogs and my IBS. Felt a bit weird yesterday - and most of today was spent in bed, starring at the bedroom ceiling.

When I was sentient - I wasted time I should have spent working, by trawling the internet. I read this article in The Daily Mail - here is a cached version, the original has been 'deleted' - feel free to contact the press complaints commission - that's what they are for.

if you can't be bothered reading it - here is a highlight. It's generally a fairly dim review of the Olympic opening ceremony by one 'Rick Dewsbury' He spends most of the article bashing the NHS.

"But it was the absurdly unrealistic scene – and indeed one that would spring from the kind of nonsensical targets and equality quotas we see in the NHS - showing a mixed-race middle-class family in a detached new-build suburban home, which was most symptomatic of the politically correct agenda in modern Britain.

This was supposed to be a representation of modern life in England but it is likely to be a challenge for the organisers to find an educated white  middle-aged mother and black father living together with a happy family in such a set-up".

I have listend to a lot of radio 3 today. it really helped.
