Nothing like getting angry first thing in the morning to get the blood flowing.
I'm really confused. Man on the radio is suggesting that social housing in more expensive areas should be sold of as it becomes available - and not returned to the 'pool' - and that more social housing should be built in traditionally 'poorer' areas - the ones who have already made it clear they don't want it - and have been trying to create more 'mixed' communities.
If it's so unfair for someone to live in social housing in ... say...Fulham - where their family may have lived for generations and in an area that was once quite poor - well, isn't it equally unfair for people to live in Fulham simply because they inherited the property - and did nothing to earn it? If Notting Hill is 'cleansed' - it won't be Notting Hill anymore - Islington is very fashionable now, but only because London has grown in wealth and it became fashionable to live there - large slum areas were turned over to social housing in the 1950's - should these people be made to make way so that more city bankers can move into their 'charming and bijou railway cottages' Ghettoisation works both ways.
Notice how sneering and shrill the papers are being towards Julian Assange today - the Guardian in particular reads like a black day at The Daily Mail.
Managed very little work today, but have already done quite a bit today - need to catch up - there is, I suppose, a very good reason why the weekend has two days - really need it sometimes.
Massive amount to do today - so I need to schedule carefully - and be quite careful with money, getting a bit short towards the end of this month and need to be really careful - not sure when my next invoice will be paid.
Misty outside and not so hot - yet, but getting that way. had one of those odd spikes on here yesterday when huge numbers of people viewed the page... must have said something I'll regret later.
